Sheffield Wednesday 11/10 to beat QPR and over 1.5 goals in Sunday’s Championship contest

Competition: Championship

Market: Sheffield Wednesday win and over 1.5 goals

Odds: 11/10 @ Bet 365

Two sides enduring very different endings to the Championship campaign, Sheffield Wednesday will welcome QPR to Hillsborough on Sunday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts. while Steve Bruce’s side may have been disappointed to have only taken a point off of Preston last weekend, it has been a very bright ending for Sheffield Wednesday. Although a top six finish is off the cards for this year, the Owls have lost just one of their last five Championship outings and their form at Hillsborough has been a highlight throughout the campaign. The former Aston Villa boss has seen his side lose just one of their last 14 matches in Sheffield, a run that stems back to the end of November. Also winning three of their last four home matchups and scoring two or more goals in each of those victories, the Owls should be confident of extending their winning run this weekend.

As for the visitors, while Sheffield Wednesday might be enjoying a bright end to the year, the same cannot be said for a struggling QPR side. Still yet to announce a new permanent manager at Loftus Road, caretaker boss John Eustace has seen his side lose their last three Championship appearances. Recording just a single victory since the 26th of February, a huge part of the Hoops’ issues this season has been their form away from West London. QPR are yet to win a single match on the road in 2019 and have not failed scored in any of their last three matches on the road.
