Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan suggested on talkSPORT (11:58am, September 7, 2020) that Wilfried Zaha would be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur.

Jordan believes that the Crystal Palace winger would do well at London and Premier League rivals Tottenham.

Jordan said on talkSPORT (11:58am, September 7, 2020):  “(Palace and Zaha are in) a slightly difficult position. Zaha made it clear he wanted to go last season and got rewarded with a significant contract to keep him focused on staying,

“It hasn’t been a great season for Wilfried Zaha. Palace have a valuation for him I think is based on his talent. Some of the output he has given for Palace this season would not necessarily demand the same figure.

“If you could get £60 million last year, you’re going to really struggle to get that now because his form hasn’t been what it was. He does want to go but I’m not entirely sure there’s a queue of clubs that will buy him. I think, as much as it galls me, Tottenham is a place that would do Wilfried well.”

Stats

Zaha made 37 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Palace last season, scoring four goals and providing three assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

During the 2018-19 campaign, the former Manchester United winger scored 10 goals and provided five assists in 34 league games for the Eagles, according to WhoScored.

Back in 2017-18, the 27-year-old made 28 starts and one substitute appearances in the league for the London club, scoring nine goals and providing three assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Would Wilfried Zaha be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur?

Zaha is one of the best wingers in the Premier League not to play for a top-six club.

The former United winger scores goals, creates chances for his teammates, and also puts fears into the hearts of the opposition defenders with his directs runs.

Tottenham – who are rated at 10/3 by Betfair to finish in the top four of the Premier League table next season, would be a better team with Zaha in it.
