Soldado set to sign for Granada

Granada are back in La Liga after a successful campaign in Segunda and now they want to stay there for much longer than just one season. For that, they will need to score goals and in that they could get a big help in Roberto Soldado. The Spanish club have announced on Monday that they are set to sign the striker on a free transfer, which could be one of their most important signings this summer.

The 34-year-old has been a free agent since leaving Fenerbahce at the start of July and is expected to undergo a medical at Nuevo Estadio de Los Carmenes on Tuesday. If everything goes right, as it is expected, Soldado will sign a contract with his sixth club in Primera. He previously played for numerous teams, including Real Madrid, Villarreal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Last season, he helped Fenerbahce with 10 goal contributions – six goals scored and four assists in 21 appearances.
