Portuguese daily newspaper A Bola has learned that Sporting value their star player Cedric Soares at €7 million.
The talented right-back has enjoyed an excellent season last term, which led to interest from some of Europe’s top clubs.
A Bola understands that an unnamed side have submitted an official proposal for his services worth €3.5 million, but the offer was swiftly rejected.
The same source has suggested that the Lions will only entertain offers in the region of €7 million for their highly rated footballer.
Sporting are on the verge of signing Red Star full-back Marko Petkovic, which is enough to suggest they are prepared to consider selling Cedric in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old has come through the ranks at club’s famous youth academy and he has so far made 43 league appearances for the Lions.
Cedric, who was born in Gelsenkirchen, is believed to be on the radar of German giants Schalke, meaning a return to his hometown could be on the cards.
