Standard de Liege move into first place in the Belgian top flight while Club Brugge suffered yet another defeat, this time to the hands of Zulte-Waregem.

Westerlo almost held Standard to a goalless draw but De Camargo finally broke the deadlock with just six minutes to go.

Standard now have two points more than RSC Anderlecht, whose Friday-night match with Gent was postponed.

Zulte-Waregem were never really troubled by Brugge. Berrier opened the score after just four minutes and Leye doubled the lead on the hour mark. Alcaraz did get one back in the 76th minute but Nfor Webnje made (81st) ended Brugge’s hopes.
