Swansea linked to Kasper Schmeichel

The Sun understands that Swansea could go for Leicester City keeper Kasper Schmeichel should Michel Vorm leave the club in the summer.

The Liberty Stadium outfit face a real battle on their hands to keep hold of the Netherlands international, with some of Europe’s top clubs casting admiring glances his way.

Swansea officials, however, seem to have a found a potential replacement for Vorm, as they are reportedly readying bid for Leicester City shot-stopper Kasper Schmeichel.

The highly rated keeper is widely tipped to leave the Foxes for a Premier League side in the summer, with West Ham and Wigan also keen.

The son of Manchester United legend Peter came through the youth ranks at Manchester City, but was forced to prove his worth during loan spells with Darlington, Bury, Falkirk and Coventry.

Some impressive displays at Leicester City have seen top English clubs take notice and the 26-year-old is finally set for the biggest stage.
