Sylvinho set to join Corinthians

Brazilian defender Sylvinho is set to make a return to former club Corinthians.

The veteran has been released by Barcelona and is expected to make a return to Brazil, according to Sport.

Sylvinho said: “I am on holidays in Sao Paulo now after a very long season and I want to rest.

“I would be very pleasing to return to Corinthians. I grew up there, and have friends at the club.

“That is my preferred option, and if Corinthians are interested, I will not think twice about it.”
