Sam Allardyce managed West Ham between 2011 and 2015, and at one point, he was close to bringing Emanuel Adebayor in from Tottenham Hotspur.
However, according to Allardyce, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy pulled the plug on the deal for the striker 15 minutes before the closing of the transfer window.
