Three clubs eye Javi Manquillo

Newcastle United are doing well this season under Steve Bruce, probably even better than many have expected after the club lost Rafael Benitez due to his contract running out. In that team Bruce has been using this season, Javier Manquillo has been going in and out of it and now other Premier League sides might try to get the best out of that situation and snap him up.

The Spaniard could be on his way out of St James’ Park, according to the Telegraph, as Crystal Palace, Brighton and Hove Albion and West Ham United are all interested in the player. Manquillo is a right-back, 25 years old, and he featured in eight Premier League matches this season and another in League Cup.

Now, the January transfer window is approaching and the three sides want to improve their defences. West Ham have had a lot of issues at right-back, while Brighton are often changing from playing with the back three to playing with a back four. Crystal Palace also lost Aaron Wan-Bissaka last summer…
