In a friendly match on Wednesday in Lviv between the two Euro 2012 co-hosts, Ukraine beat Poland 1-0. Coach of the latter team, Leo Beenhakker, forbid players to leave the hotel after the defeat.

Nevertheless, Boruc, Dudka and Majewski took part in a drinking bout with journalists of a TV station. This was reported by Beenhakker to FA president Michal Listkiewicz, who later said that “Leo was very angry”.

Polish FA (PZPN) spokesman Zbigniew Kozminski said that the three men will surely not be considered for the two upcoming World Cup 2010 qualifiers against San Marino and Slovenia which will be played in September. Further suspensions will be considered by the FA Discipline Department.

Neither Poland’s spokeswoman nor the team players, including Boruc’s friend captain Michal Zewlakow, confirm that any incident took place.

Boruc’s club Celtic FC are not going to punish the player, they only plan to give him a reprimand.

Boruc and Dudka featured at Euro 2008, while Majewski was dropped from the final squad after the last training camp.
