Tottenham Hotspur eye January move for Stefan de Vrij

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Inter Milan central defender Stefan de Vrij in the January transfer window, according to CMW. The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that De Vrij is out of contract at former Serie A champions Inter at the end of the campaign, and that Premier League club Tottenham want to secure the services of the 30-year-old Netherlands international in the middle of the season.

De Vrij’s agent and Inter are going to hold talks over a new contract. If no agreement is reached between the two parties, then Tottenham Managing Director of Football, Fabio Paratici, is ready to make a move and snap up the defender for £4-5 million. Tottenham are also willing to include Davinson Sanchez in the deal.

CMW have reported hat Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte has already directly spoken to De Vrij. The former Chelsea and Juventus boss worked with the Dutchman when they were at Inter and won the Serie A title in 2020-21.
