Tottenham Hotspur plan to terminate Danny Rose’s contract

Tottenham Hotspur want to terminate Danny Rose’s contract and are planning to hold talks with the England international left-back, according to Football Insider. The former Leeds United prospect was omitted from Spurs’ Premier League squad for this season and will not play in the Europa League either.

With Rose earning £70,000 per week as salary at Spurs at the moment and out of contract at the end of the season, Tottenham plan to come to an arrangement over a pay-off, according to the report. The 30-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Newcastle and is not part of head coach Jose Mourinho’s plans.

Tottenham have made a good start to the season, as they aim to finish in the top four of the Premier League table. The North London outfit are seventh in the standings at the moment with eight points from five matches.
