Tottenham Hotspur want Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez in the summer of 2021, according to The Daily Star (print edition, page 45, February 28, 2021). It has ben reported that Vazquez is open to leaving the defending Spanish champions at the end of the season and is considering all of his options.

Vazquez is out of contract at Madrid at the end of the season. The former European giants have made the 29-year-old winger an offer, but the two parties cannot agree on the terms. Everton are also interested in the Spain international, according to the report, which has added that Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho wants to bring him to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a £16 million deal.

According to WhoScored, Vazquez has made 15 starts and three substitute appearances in La Liga for Madrid so far this season, scoring two goals and providing three assists in the process. The 29-year-old, who can also operate as a right-back, has provided one assist in six Champions League games for Madrid this campaign, according to WhoScored.
