Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Aymeric Laporte from Manchester City in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. The report has claimed that Tottenham are looking for a new centre-back, and that one of the players on their radar is Laporte.
Laporte has been on the books of City since 2018 when he joined from Athletic Bilbao. The Spain international central defender has done well for the Premier League champions over the years, but he has not been a regular in manager Pep Guardiola’s side in recent times and has lost his place in the team.
The 29-year-old central defender has made 11 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for City this season. Laporte has also made three starts and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Champions League, three appearances in the Carabao Cup and three starts and two substitute appearances in the FA Cup.
