Valencia and Real Sociedad want Manchester United’s Juan Mata

Valencia and Real Sociedad are interested in signing Manchester United attacking midfielder Juan Mata in the summer of 2021, according to El Gol Digital. The Spain international is out of contract at the Red Devils at the end of the season, and La Liga duo Sociedad and Valencia want to secure the services of the 32-year-old on a free transfer.

Mata has been on the books of United since 2014 when he joined from Premier League rivals Chelsea. The Spain international has been superb for the Red Devils over the years and has done well at Old Trafford. The 32-year-old has won the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the UEFA Europa League with United so far.

However, the Spaniard is not guaranteed a place in the United starting lineup at the moment, and given that no new contract is in place yet, it is very likely that the 32-year-old will leave the European giants at the end of the season. According to WhoScored, Mata has made four starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League and has played just seven minutes in the Europa League for United so far this season.
