Vidic sees future at United, says his agent

Nemanja Vidic’s agent says there is no way the defender will leave Manchester United as any move from Old Trafford would be a “step backward”.

Vidic’s Italian representative, Silvano Martina told Calciomercato: “He plays for Manchester United and is not on the market. He is an unquestionable starter for the Red Devils. There’s no way an Italian club could sign him. They don’t have the means, and he is happy at Manchester.

“He is European and world champion, as a consequence, moving away could only be a step backward. Twice he was close to moving to Italy, once to Fiorentina and then to Inter.”
