Villarreal eye Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin

Villarreal are interested in signing Hector Bellerin from Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. La Liga rivals Sevilla are claimed to be keen on the former Barcelona prospect, who will leave Arsenal this summer.

Arsenal right-back Bellerin worked with Villarreal manager Unai Emery at the Gunners. Emery guided the Yellow Submarine to Europa League success this past season, which means that the Spanish club will feature in the group stage of the Champions League in 2021-22.

Bellerin has been on the books of Arsenal his entire professional club football career so far. Although the 26-year-old remains a very good right-back, there are suggestions that his career at Arsenal has stalled, and that he needs a new challenge. A move to Villarreal and reunite with Emery could see Bellerin get back to his best.
