West Brom eye loan deal for Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga

West Bromwich Albion are interested in signing Japhet Tanganga from Tottenham Hotspur on transfer deadline day, according to The Express & Star. It has been reported that West Brom want to secure the services of the 21-year-old defender on a loan deal and have already shown interest.

Tanganga has not played for Tottenham in the Premier League so far this season. According to WhoScored, the 21-year-old has played thrice in the Europa League, and twice each in the FA Cup and the EFL Cup for Spurs so far this season. It would make sense for the 21-year-old, who can operate as a centre-back and as a right-back, to move to West Brom on loan until the end of the season and play regular football.

West Brom are second from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 12 points from 21 matches, while Arsenal are currently 10th in the standings with 31 points from 21 games.
