West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone wants West Ham transfer

West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone wants to join West Ham United in the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. The Hammers are looking for a new goalkeeper to compete with Lukasz Fabianski and want to bid for Johnstone.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper himself wants to leave West Brom and move to West Ham. The Baggies will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League, while the Hammers will play in the Europa League during the 2021-22 campaign.

Sam Johnstone is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League and has been selected in the England squad for the Euro 2020 finals this summer. It is hard to see West Brom keep hold of the 28-year-old, and given that West Ham are reportedly lining up a bid, it is very likely that he will end up at the London Stadium next season.
