West Ham United interest in Liverpool centre-back Nathaniel Phillips

West Ham United are interested in signing Nathaniel Phillips from Liverpool in the January transfer window, according to The London Evening Standard. David Moyes’s West Ham are on the hunt for a new centre-back following the long-term injury to Kurt Zouma.

Phillips played a number of matches for Liverpool last season due to injuries to the senior centre-backs. However, the 24-year-old is now  struggling for playing time and is open to leaving Liverpool in the January transfer window.

The English centre-back has made one substitute appearance in the Carabao Cup for Liverpool so far this season. Phillips has also made one start and one substitute appearance in the Champions League for Jurgen Klopp’s side this campaign.
