West Ham want Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic

West Ham United are interested in signing Luka Jovic from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, according to Eurosport. Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti does not consider the 23-year-old as part of his plans for this season, and the Hammers are considering making a move for the Serbia international.

West Ham manager David Moyes wants to sign a new striker to help Michail Antonio. The former Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday man is a winger, but he has been playing as a striker. The Hammers have yet to replace Sebastien Haller, who left the London club for Ajax in January 2021.

According to The Guardian, Madrid paid Eintracht Frankfurt an initial €65 million (£55.02m) to sign Jovic in 2019. The youngster has failed to establish himself in Los Blancos’ starting lineup. Jovic scored two goals and gave one assist in 422 La Liga minutes for Madrid in 2019-20.
