Wigan are in talks with Celtic over a season-long loan deal for Australian striker Scott McDonald.
The Aussie striker’s agent, Willie McKay, has confirmed that there are negotiations between the two clubs and that Wigan boss Roberto Martinez is keen on bringing McDonald to the Premier League.
He told the Daily Record: “Negotiations are at an early stage. Roberto is a big admirer of Scott and believes he would score a lot of goals in the Premier League.
“A loan might not sound like the ideal situation but if Scott goes down to England and makes his mark, his value will shoot through the roof.”
