Wolves hope to sell Patrick Cutrone in January

Wolverhampton Wanderers hope to sell Patrick Cutrone in the January transfer window, according to The Daily Mail. It has been reported that the Premier League club are looking to sign Maxi Gomez from Valencia when the transfer window opens next month and are hoping to get some cash by parting company with Cutrone.

Cutrone has been on the books of Wolves since 2019 when he joined the club after leaving AC Milan. The Italy international striker has failed to make a huge impact at the Wanderers and has made only a handful of appearances for the first team.

The 22-year-old striker joined Italian club Fiorentina on an 18-month loan deal from Wolves in January 2020. According to WhoScored, the 22-year-old made nine starts and 10 substitute appearances in Serie A for Fiorentina during the second half of last season, scoring four goals and providing one assist in the process. The youngster has made 10 substitute appearances in the league for the Italian club, according to WhoScored.
