Zaragoza want Barcelona’s Puig

Barcelona are preparing for the new season and the signings that could join them – after Antoine Griezmann’s long-awaited move – are still being part of the everyday rumours. But one player might leave the club, if the newspapers in Spain are correct.

Real Zaragoza have made an offer to sign Barcelona youngster Riqui Puig on loan for the upcoming season, according to El Periodico de Aragon. Puig, who is 19 years old, has been gradually integrated in the first team of Barcelona last season, getting his chances off the bench and against weaker oppositions. He is also part of Barcelona squad currently in the United States, on the pre-season tour and indications so far are that Puig will be staying at Nou Camp.

The talented midfielder has shown glimpses of his talent last season and whilst he would be of much use to Zaragoza in Segunda, he could still get enough playing time under Ernesto Valverde.
