Zidane defends Jovic after transfer rumours

Luka Jovic will not leave Real Madrid to go out on loan this coming January. That is what we can draw from Zinedine Zidane’s latest press conference, during which he defended the Serbia international.

Media in Spain have been attacking former Red Star forward for quite some time, almost since his arrival at the club from Eintracht Frankfurt. He did not get much playing time and still has not scored in a competitive match, but Zidane believes in the player.

Zidane said that Jovic has not been discouraged by the current situation and the he understands it perfectly. He also added that Jovic has been improving ever since joining Real Madrdi and that he is slowly entering team’s dynamics after starting to speak Spanish.

Karim Benzema has been in immense form this season, which further made things harder for Jovic to get playing time. At 21, there is still plenty of time for the Serbia forward.
