Ajax starlet signs new contract

Ajax have announced on their official website that talented midfielder Francesco Antonucci has signed a new deal with the club.

The 16-year-old penned his first professional contract with the Amsterdammers, pledging his future until June 2018.

Francesco Antonucci had joined Ajax from Anderlecht earlier this summer, with the Eredivisie side paying around €500,000 for his signature.

Widely regarded as one of Belgium’s hottest prospects, the youngster can operate as an attacking midfielder or on the right wing and is expected to be promoted to the first team set-up in near future.

Antonucci has so far made eight appearances for the Belgium Under-16 side, and is currently playing for the Under-17 team.

Ajax continue to attract some of world’s most talented footballers to their youth academy that keeps producing exciting talent for the senior team.

The Amsterdammers lead the chase in Dutch Eredivisie and are available at 5/4 to lift the league title.
