Al-Wasl boss Sheikh Mohamed Fahmad Ashra is reportedly keen on signing former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy from Bundesliga side Hamburg.
The Sheikh has admitted that he is a fan of the Dutchman and reports have suggested they could make a move for the 34-year-old in the January transfer window.
“I’m a fan of Ruud van Nistelrooy. He still scores good goals and I would love to see him on my team,” Telegraaf quoted the Sheikh as having said.
Van Nistelrooy’s current contract with Hamburg is set to expire at the end of the season.
