Barcelona eyeing Coutinho move

Talksport understands that Barcelona are considering a move for Liverpool star Phillippe Coutinho.

The La Liga giants, who signed Luiz Suarez from the Anfield outfit last summer, are keen on securing a deal for the Brazil international who was named the Reds’ Players’ Player and Fans Player of the year last season.

Having lost both Suarez and Raheem Sterling over the past two summers, manager Brendan Rodgers is especially desperate to keep hold of the twenty-three year old though he may be powerless to do so, not least if he once again fails to steer Liverpool into the top four.

Since signing from Inter Milan, Coutinho has racked up one hundred and nine club appearances in all competitions, scoring seventeen goals.

He has twelve caps for his country, and scored his one and only international goal so far in a 2-0 friendly win over Mexico back in June.
