Bastos invites Juventus offer; Belgian wonderkid approached by Chelsea

Bastos hints at Juventus move

Lyon midfielder Michel Bastos admits he wouldn’t be able to turn down an offer from Juventus.

The Brazilian, who can cover every position on the left hand side, revealed that summer move to Juventus could be on the cards.

“Juve want me and no player can turn down the Bianconeri shirt. We’re talking about one of the top 10 clubs in the world,” Bastos told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“They have Gigi Buffon, the best ‘keeper on the planet, and Alessandro Del Piero who is a symbol of Italian football.

“There is Milos Krasic too, a new star of the European game.”

The Brazilian then dismissed speculations linking him with a move to Barcelona.

“I was just asked a question about what club I would like to play for and I said Barcelona,” he added. “There is nothing strange in that.

“Who wouldn’t want to play in Pep Guardiola’s team? But I’d be a luxury reserve at Barcelona, while at Juve I would have a chance of a first team shirt.”

Bastos could become a real asset for Juventus as he can play at both left-back and left wing, with the Bianconeri really short on options at these positions.

Belgian wonderkid approached by Chelsea

Chelsea have approached Lille winger Eden Hazard regarding the summer move to Stamford Bridge, according to L’Equipe.

The Belgian winger has been attracting a lot of interest from big European clubs with his impressive showings for les Dogues, but he always spoke of his desire to remain at Lille.

Nonetheless, Hazard seems to have changed his mind after speaking to Chelsea emissaries and he is now open to summer move to England.

The 20-year-old is under contract at Lille until June 2014, meaning Chelsea will not get him on the cheap.

Lille are unwilling to sell their most prized asset, but an offer in the region of €20 million could do the trick.

Tricky winger that he is, Hazard would certainly add another dimension to Chelsea’s attack and it is my opinion that the Blues should jump at the opportunity to sign a player with a tremendous potential.

Roma to sack Adriano

Roma striker Adriano could have his contract terminated by the club after he was caught drunk driving in Brazil.

The Brazilian striker, well known for his drinking problems, could be fired by Roma after his latest incident.

Adriano was given permission from the club to return to Brazil while recovering from shoulder injury, but he was soon pictured drinking beer, although that is not his biggest problem at the moment.

The striker was also caught drunk driving and despite rejecting to take breathalyzer test, he was excluded from the traffic by the police as he exhibited obvious signs of intoxication.

The latest incident could mark an end to his career at Roma as the Giallorossi have included the clause in his contract saying that Adriano’s contract can be terminated without compensation in a situation like this.

The player was indeed hoping for a return to Brazil in the summer and it seems that his wish will be granted sooner than expected.
