Besiktas close to Ospina deal

The Daily Star understands that Besiktas are closing in on a deal for Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina.

The Turkish side are keen on signing the out-of-favour shot stopper, who has played just three times for the North London side in all competitions so far this season and hasn’t feature in the Premier League at all following Petr Cech’s arrival at the Emirates Stadium.

Last season, the Colombia international racked up twenty-three games under Arsene Weneger, sharing duties with Wojciech Szczesny, who is currently out on loan at Serie A side Roma.

Ospina has been capped sixty-two times for his country, with five of those appearances coming at last summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.

Arsenal play Greek side Olympiakos in their final Champions League group game on Wednesday evening, and can be backed at a price of 9/4 to once again qualify for the knock out stages of the competition.
