Besiktas linked with Mikel bid

Besiktas are ready to make a renewed bid for Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel, according to the Metro.

The Turkish Super Lig outfit made an attempt to sign the Nigeria international in the summer and having failed then are set to bid once again when the transfer window reopens in January.

Mikel is currently in his tenth season with the Blues having signed from Norwegian side Lyn in July 2006 and has so far racked up almost three hundred and fifty appearances in all competitions, scoring just five goals.

During his time at Stamford Bridge, the twenty-eight year old two Premier League titles, four FA Cups, two League Cups, the Europa League and the Champions League.

Internationally he has been capped sixty-six times for Nigeria, scoring four goals and he was part of the squad that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations while he also featured at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
