Boca Juniors earned a hard fought victory over CA Lanus on Sunday, and maintain a 100 percent record after two games.

After only six minutes at ‘La Bombonera’, Lanus surprisingly took the lead through Jose Sand but Boca’s Fabian Vargas equalised twenty minutes later.

It then took until the 68th minute for Boca to decide the clash. Substitute Cristian ‘Pochi’ Chavez received a pass from Ricardo Noir and beat goalkeeper Bossio for 2-1.

Boca are one point away from leaders Colon de Santa Fe and CA Tigre but do have a game in hand.
