Club Brugge are the sole leaders in the Belgian Eerste Klasse following a 4-1 win over KV Kortrijk.

Hempte did put Kortrijk in the lead after twelve minutes but Clement levelled thirteen minutes later. Leko converted a penalty in the 33rd minute for 2-1.

Kortrijk played most of the second half with a man less following Verbrugghe’s second yellow card just after the break, and Brugge soon took advantage of the situation.

Akpala added a third for the hosts on 62 minutes and netted another with six minutes to go.

Brugge now have a three-points lead over Genk, who beat AFC Tubize 1-3, and Standard de Liege who lost to Charleroi on Friday.
