Celtic are interested in Leeds United left-back Barry Douglas as potential replacement for Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo, according to Sky Sports. It has been reported that the Scottish Premiership giants want to get Bolingoli-Mbombo off their books after he broke quarantine rules, and have identified Douglas as one of the left-backs to replace him.
Douglas, who grew up as a Rangers fan, has been on the books of Leeds since the summer of 2018 when he joined from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 30-year-old, who can also play as a wing-back, had injury problems last season and could not make a massive impact on the team at Elland Road.
With Leeds set to play in the Premier League next season for the first time since 2004, Douglas may not be willing to leave the Whites, who themselves may not want to sell a valuable member of the squad in what could be a tough campaign in the top flight of English football.
