Chelsea keeping tabs on El Hamdaoui

Chelsea are pondering a bid for Moroccan hitman Mounir El Hamdaoui as they look to reinforce their front line.

The striker joined Ajax from AZ Alkmaar only last summer but has been in scintillating form since, scoring 14 goals in 15 games, and managed to even upstage Luis Suarez in the process.

His excellent showings in Ajax jersey alerted Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City, who are all keen on the 26-year-old.

El Hamdoui failed to make the grade at Tottenham after arriving from Excelsior in 2005, but he has since gone a long way and is now worth around £17.5 million.
