Dembele set for new Spurs deal

Mousa Dembele is in line for a new contract at Tottenham Hotspur, according to the Mirror.

The Belgium international is into the final eighteen months of his current deal and Mauricio Pochettino is keen to retain his services long term.

The twenty-eight year old moved to White Hart Lane from Fulham in the summer of 2012, and has since racked up one hundred and thirty-seven appearances for the club scoring seven goals, the most recent of which coming in Monday night’s 3-1 win over bottom-of-the-table Aston Villa.

Prior to his move to the North London outfit the midfielder spent two years at Fulham having already played for Dutch Eredvisie pair Willem II and AZ while he began his career in his home country with Germinal Beerschot.

Internationally, he has been capped sixty-two times for his country and was part of the Belgium squad that participated at last summer’s World Cup finals.
