Diego Forlan admits he could quit Atletico

Diego Forlan is seriously thinking about leaving Atletico Madrid next summer, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

The Uruguayan has recently hinted he could be on his way out of Vicente Calderon.

“I say as usual, if a good offer comes along that will satisfy both me and the club, I will take it into consideration,” said Forlan.

“I am happy at Atletico, but I was happy at Villarreal and left for Atletico. I am a professional.”

Having heard the Uruguayan’s words, Atletico chiefs are eager to clarify the player’s future and they have scheduled a meeting with his agent for February.

This basically means that Forlan is unlikely to leave in January despite interest from Juventus, Malaga, Corinthians and Sao Paolo, but a summer move definitely looks on the cards.
