Speaking to French TV station Canal Plus, Watford’s Abdoulaye Doucoure revealed he believes he will be leaving the club in the near future.
There have been numerous reports about interest in the midfielder from a number of clubs over the last 12 months, and manager Javi Gracia recently said he wasn’t shocked about it. Doucoure’s standout performances for the Hornets reportedly attracted the attention of Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and most recently, Paris Saint-Germain.
The 26-year-old, who passed through the youth categories of the French national team but is yet to make a senior appearance for the World Cup winners, said there was no concrete offer from PSG. The Ligue 1 champions haven’t contacted either Watford or his representatives, and his next club is far from being decided. He said remaining in the Premier League was a possibility, as well as a move to Italy as he believes Serie A has become an attractive destination again. He will, however, be taking only the clubs that play the Champions League into consideration.
