Fikayo Tomori turned down West Ham move on deadline day

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea central defender Fikayo Tomori turned down a move to West Ham United on summer deadline day. It has been reported that West Ham had agreed a loan deal with Chelsea, but the defender decided just 10 minutes before the window shut that he did not want to make the move to the London rivals.

Tomori reportedly wants to stay at Chelsea and fight for his place in manager Frank Lampard’s starting lineup. As for West Ham, David Moyes’s side want to sign a new centre-back, and now they will have to look at the Championship to reinforce that position.

According to WhoScored, Tomori has played just 45 minutes in the Premier League for Chelsea so far this season. During the 2019-20 campaign, the 22-year-old centre-back scored one goal in 15 league matches, and provided one assists in four Champions League appearances for the London club, according to WhoScored.
