Freeman to remain with Blades

Derby County defender Kieron Freeman is set to remain on loan with Sheffield United for the remainder of the season, according to Sky Sports.

The 22 year old was taken to Bramall Lane by former Rams boss Nigel Clough back in March, and has so far notched up seven appearances for the League One play-off hopefuls.

He moved to Derby from local rivals Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2012, but he has started just fifteen times in the league for the club, racking up more appearances in temporary spells with Notts County, and now the Blades.

Having not appeared for his parent club at all this season, the Wales U21 international is illegible to play in Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final, where United face Hull City at Wembley.

At 16/1, Clough’s men are the rank outsiders to win the completion for what would be the fifth time in their history.
