James Wilson linked with Celtic switch

Manchester United are ready to let James Wilson move to Celtic on loan in January, according to the Daily Star.

The 19 year old was strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford in the summer, with the Scottish champions and a host of Championship clubs keen on securing on his services on a temporary basis though he remained with Louis van Gaal’s squad.

However, following the arrival of Anthony Martial he has played just eight minutes of first team football so far this season and could now be allowed to leave.

Wilson has played nineteen times in total for United since making his debut against Hull City towards the end of the 2013/14 campaign, a game in which he scored twice.

He has scored two further goals since, netting in both the FA Cup win over Cambridge United and the league victory at Queens Park Rangers last season.
