Middlesbrough complete Rhodes deal

Championship promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough have completed the signing of Jordan Rhodes from Blackburn Rovers, according to the Mail Online.

A protracted deal for the Scotland international had looked like it had fallen through on Sunday, though the transfer was finalised on deadline day.

The twenty-five year old has put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half year deal with the Teeside club, having spent three-and-a-half years at Ewood Park.

During his time with Blackburn, Rhodes scored eight-two league goals while he netted eighty-seven in a three year spell with Huddersfiled Town.

No player has scored more goals in the second tier over the past five years, and Boro will be hoping his form continues as they close in on a return to the Premier League.

Aitor Karanka’s side currently second in the table, one point behind leaders Hull City and can be backed at a price of 4/5 to win the title.
