Milan flop joins Twente

Milan defender Oguchi Onyewu has joined Twente on loan until the end of the season, while the Tukkers have the option to make the transfer permanent.

The USA international is set to be reunited with boss Michel Preud’homme, who coached him at Standard Liege.

Oguchi Onyewu has thus ended his 18-month nightmare at Milan, during which he only featured in one competitive match, with his career at San Siro marred by difficult knee injury and a clash with club officials.

Twente will give the 28-year-old defender a chance to kick-start his career and if Onyewu meets the expectations he will be offered a permanent deal.
