No Bayern Munich interest in Pape Matar Sarr

Bayern Munich are not planning to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr in the summer transfer window, according to Bild journalist Christian Falk.

Falk wrote on his website, CFBayernInsider: “It is NOT TRUE: Bayern Munich could pursue Pape Matar Sarr this summer.

“I don’t think he’s particularly highly rated at FC Bayern.

“They have many options in midfield already between Joshua Kimmich, Aleksandar Pavlović, and Tom Bischof.

“Konrad Laimer can also play this position if Bayern end up signing Givairo Read at right-back ahead of Man City, who are also interested in him.

“They have plans for the midfield, which is why they want to spend some money – but not too much.”

Bayern have already won the Bundesliga title and will face Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League this season. Meanwhile, Tottenham currently find themselves third from bottom in the standings with 34 points from 34 matches, two points behind 17th-placed West Ham United.
