Rosenberg returns to Sweden

Swedish striker Markus Rosenberg has completed a move to Malmo FF, the Allsvenskan side announced via their Twitter account.

The 31-year-old has joined the club on a free transfer after he was released from his contract at West Bromwich and in turn signed a three-year contract.

It was at Malmo FF that Rosenberg started his professional career, spending four years there before signing for Ajax in the summer of 2005.

Three years later the striker left the Amsterdammers to join Werder Bremen and it was there that he enjoyed the most successful years of his career.

Rosenberg scored a total of 40 goals in 123 Bundesliga appearances for the Weserstadion outfit, and also had a loan spell with Racing Santander ahead of leaving the club for West Bromwich.

His move to England didn’t work out as planned, with the striker failing to net a single goal in 28 Premier League outings for the Baggies.
