– Aston Villa’s Steve Sidwell, who was purchased from Chelsea at the end of last season, has resumed training after a lengthy injury lay off.
Purchased for a mere £5.5million he played in only two matches against Odense in the UEFA Intertoto Cup in July.
He has recovered sufficiently well from calf and knee problems and should soon be back in action for his new club, Aston Villa.
