Vaz Te on trial with West Bromwich Albion

West Bromwich Albion have taken former West Ham United striker Ricardo Vaz Te on trial, according to Sky Sports.

The 28 year-old has been without a club since the end of last season when he left Turkish Super Lig side Akhisar Belediyespor, for whom he played for fourteen times, scoring five goals.

Prior to moving to Turkey, he spent three years with West Ham while he also played for Barnsley and Bolton Wanderers and had a loan spell at Hull City during his time in England.

Internationally, he has been capped by Portugal at every level from U17 to U23 but has never been recognised at senior level.

West Brom brought in Rickie Lambert and Salomon Rondon in the summer and managed to keep hold of star striker Saido Berahino who was strongly linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur but could be set to add Vaz Te to their ranks on a short-term basis.
