WBA in talks with Jokanović

West Bromwich Albion are in talks with the representatives of Slaviša Jokanović over the Serbian potentially replacing Darren Moore, the manager they parted ways with on Saturday following a 1-1 draw at home with Ipswich, according to Sky Sports and their sources.

First team coach James Shan took charge for the 3-0 win over Swansea on Wednesday, but if the talks go as planned, the former Fulham boss could take over very soon.

Jokanović won Premier League promotion with two clubs so far, and the Baggies will be hoping that would be the case once more. He was dismissed at Craven Cottage early this season as the top-tier move proved too big of a leap for his squad. Fulham have since both hired and fired Claudio Ranieri, with the Italian unable to do any better than Jokanović.

WBA are also considering Preston North End boss Alex Neil, but they haven’t yet made contact with either him or his club.
