Nice eyeing Irvin Cardona

Radio Monte Carlo is reporting that Ligue 1 outfit Nice have been showing interest in AS Monaco starlet Irvin Cardona.

Les Aiglons are almost certain to stay without star striker Mario Balotelli this summer and they are in the market for attacking reinforcements.

According to reports, Nice are weighing up summer bid for AS Monaco youngster Irvin Cardona, who has shown a great deal of potential since coming through the youth ranks.

While scoring 14 goals in 17 league outings for the reserves last term, the 20-year-old also made three substitute appearances in Ligue 1, albeit spending just 16 minutes on the pitch in total.

However, he has since impressed during the loan stint with Cercle Brugge, bagging 8 goals in 18 league appearances.

Cardona is set to speak with AS Monaco coaching staff to learn whether he is in their plans for the new season, but a summer exit could be on the cards.
