Everton could try for Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi

Everton could try to sign Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi in the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. Ndidi is out of contract at Leicester at the end of the season, and Premier League club Everton could be interested in snapping up the Nigeria international defensive midfielder on a free transfer if the Merseyside club are forced to sell Amadou Onana.

Ndidi has been on the books of Leicester since 2017. The 27-year-old has established himself as one of the best and most important players for the Foxes and is a key player in the team. The 27-year-old has made 20 starts and six substitute appearances in the Championship for Leicester this season, scoring two goals and providing three assists in those games.

Everton are 15th in the Premier League table at the moment with 29 points from 31 matches, four points above the bottom three. Meanwhile, Leicester currently find themselves at the top of the Championship table with 88 points from 40 matches, a point ahead of Ipswich Town, who are second and have played 41 games.
